Sahrawi Republic’s 50-Year Occupation by Morocco

Ambassador Malainin Lakhal is Deputy Representative of the Sahrawi Republic to the African Union. He joins us from Algeria to discuss Morocco’s occupation of his country and Morocco’s role in promoting irregular migration into Ceuta, a Spanish colony located on Moroccan territory. Ambassador Lakhal will provide background on the Sahrawi Republic and its struggle for independence from Morocco, which antagonizes its neighbors and acts on behalf of U.S. and Israeli interests.
