A delegation from the Qatar Chamber (QC) recently held meetings with leaders and representatives of economic and commercial institutions in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and trade ties between the Qatari private sector and its Brazilian counterpart, with particular attention to the food security sector. The two sides also examined investment opportunities in various sectors of mutual interest.

During the meetings, the QC delegation highlighted the private sector’s role in fostering industrial, commercial, and investment collaboration between the two nations. The delegation put forward a proposal to establish a joint venture or investment company aimed at developing an integrated logistics, storage, and distribution center in Qatar. This initiative would leverage Brazil’s substantial production capabilities and Qatar’s infrastructure, strategic location, and extensive network of relationships.

The proposed center is intended to cater to the Qatari market’s needs, enhance strategic reserves, and bolster food security. Additionally, it would position Qatar as a hub for redistributing products to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets and the broader region, with potential future expansion into African and Central Asian markets.
