Menfi receives credentials of new Chinese ambassador

The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohamed Menfi, has received the credentials of China’s new ambassador to Libya, Ma Shuwei Liang, during an official ceremony in Tripoli.

Menfi welcomed the envoy and wished him success, reaffirming what he described as the strong ties between Libya and China and the PCl’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership.

He also stressed the importance of continued coordination on issues of mutual interest to support stability and boost development, as well as economic and investment cooperation.

The ambassador conveyed greetings from China’s leadership and reiterated Beijing’s commitment to strengthening relations with Libya across political, economic and cultural fields.
