Menfi, Al-Lafi meet Qatari minister to discuss bilateral ties

Presidential Council (PC) Head Mohamed Menfi and PC member Abdullah Al-Lafi have met Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, in Tripoli.

The meeting focused on strengthening political and economic relations between Libya and Qatar.

According to the PC’s media office, Al-Khulaifi conveyed greetings from the Qatari Emir and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with Libya.

The parties reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to expand political, economic and trade cooperation.

They also discussed increasing economic and trade partnerships, particularly in energy and investment.

The two sides stressed the importance of continued regional and international coordination in support of stability and stronger bilateral relations.
