Libya’s Al-Suwaihli secures victory over KVZ of Zanzibar

Al-Suwaihli has achieved a crucial 1-0 victory over their Zanzibari visitors, KVZ, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, played on Friday evening at Misrata Stadium.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, before Al-Suwaihli’s Abdullah Al-Arfi scored the only goal of the match in the second half, giving his team a significant advantage ahead of the return leg.

The two clubs will meet again in the second leg, scheduled for September 13th in Zanzibar, where Al-Suwaihli will be looking to confirm their superiority and secure qualification for the next round of the tournament.
