Libya Customs Authority to Launch Dedicated Medical Customs Facility

Libya’s Customs Authority announced today that its Director General and the Chairman of the Medical Supply Organisation (MSO) discussed last Tuesday (4 July) establishing a dedicated customs facility for medical shipments to expedite the clearance of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.

The meeting also addressed a fast-track customs process, joint inspection teams, electronic data exchange, and risk-management mechanisms, while maintaining regulatory controls and proper handling of temperature-sensitive products.

The two sides agreed to form a joint technical team to develop an implementation plan, supporting more efficient customs procedures and strengthening the national medical supply chain.
