Drone strike in Sudan’s Darfur kills 35: rights group

KHARTOUM: A drone strike on a customary court in Sudan’s North Darfur state killed 35 people and wounded others on Sunday, a rights group said, accusing the army of carrying out the attack.
The Emergency Lawyers group, which has documented abuses throughout the three-year war between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, said the strike hit the court in the village of Garra Al-Zawaya at around 1:00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), while civilians had “gathered to attend hearings on a number of local cases and disputes.”
