Algeria, Egypt discuss Libya developments in phone call

Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, on Saturday to discuss a number of international and regional issues of common interest, including developments in Libya.

According to Algeria’s Foreign Ministry, the two ministers stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultations, particularly through the trilateral mechanism of Libya’s three neighbouring countries, in support of efforts to consolidate security and stability in the country and enable the Libyan people to achieve their aspirations for peace, stability and development.

The ministers also reaffirmed the importance of continued Algerian-Egyptian coordination and consultations on various Arab and African issues.
