Libyan Airlines explores resuming flights to Syria
A delegation from Libyan Airlines held talks with Syria’s General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport on ways to resume Libyan Airlines flights to Syria.
The meeting discussed the operational requirements and procedures needed to restart the flights and activate the air transport agreement signed between the two countries, with the aim of strengthening air links between them.
In August 2025, Syrian Airlines resumed flights to Mitiga International Airport at a rate of two flights per week, after a suspension of nearly 12 years.
