Al-Namroush, Turkish Foreign Minister discuss military cooperation in Ankara

Libya’s Chief of General Staff, Salah Al-Namroush, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara on Sunday to discuss bilateral cooperation and efforts to support Libya’s stability.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Libya and Turkey in support of efforts to build and develop Libya’s military institution. The two sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest developments in Libya and the wider region and ways to promote security and stability.

They emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the two countries and of benefiting from their respective expertise and experience, underscoring the need to support the development of a unified and professional Libyan military institution capable of effectively carrying out its duties.
