UNSMIL congratulates HCS new leadership, looking forward to constructive cooperation

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has congratulated the new leadership of the High Council of State (HCS), expressing its hope for constructive cooperation with all members of the Council to advance the political process and implement the roadmap leading to national elections and unification of state institutions.

In a statement published on its Facebook page, UNSMIL said it followed the live broadcast of the session held by the High Council of State last Wednesday, July 29, during which 138 members elected a new leadership for the HCS.

UNSMIL reaffirmed its anticipation of constructive cooperation with all members of the Council to move the political process forward and implement the political roadmap leading to national elections and the unification of state institutions.
