The Cameroon women’s national soccer team, known as the “Indomitable Lionesses,” received a hero’s welcome in Yaoundé after winning its first-ever Women’s African Nations Cup title.
In the final of the continental tournament, the Cameroonian women’s soccer team defeated Malawi 3–0. The decisive match ended in Cameroon’s favor with a three-goal lead, and the victory earned the team its first-ever title in the competition.

A celebratory reception was held for the team in Yaoundé after the tournament concluded. The celebration was dedicated to the Cameroonian national team’s first victory at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
