TechnipFMC secures subsea contract for Angola oil project

Offshore contracting giant TechnipFMC has been awarded a contract by Azule Energy to supply flexible flowlines and risers for the West Hub Tails project, an extension of the Agogo Integrated Development.

Under this award, TechnipFMC will design and manufacture flexible flowlines, risers, and associated equipment to accommodate all production from the West Hub area for consolidation into the Agogo FPSO vessel.

TechnipFMC did not reveal precise financial details of the contract. However, the deal was described as significant, placing it in the $75m to $250m range. The award will be included in inbound orders in the third quarter of 2026.

The Agogo Integrated Development is a major deepwater offshore oil development located in the Lower Congo basin, offshore Angola.

The project is a fast-track full-field development that consolidates resources from the Agogo and Ndungu fields. Its estimated reserves stand at around 450m barrels of combined oil reserves. At peak production, it is expected to reach 175,000 to 180,000 barrels of oil per day.
