Takala, Russian Ambassador review Libya’s political stalemate and elections

High Council of State head Mohammed Takala met Wednesday with Russian Ambassador to Libya Aydar Aganin to discuss the latest political developments in Libya.

The meeting addressed efforts to advance the political process and overcome the current stalemate, alongside an exchange of views on several issues of mutual interest, reviewing ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between Libya and Russia.

According to the Council’s media office, the meeting emphasized the importance of continued communication and consultation, as well as supporting efforts to achieve political consensus and stability.

The two sides also stressed the need to create favorable conditions for holding elections and further develop bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves their shared interests.
