SLB OneSubsea to Supply Umbilicals for Azule Energy’s West Hub Tails Project | Offshore Angola – News and Statistics

Azule Energy, a joint venture between Italy’s Eni and the UK’s BP, has awarded SLB OneSubsea a contract to supply control umbilicals for a project offshore Angola. The West Hub Tails project, part of the Integrated West Hub development in Block 15/06, involves redirecting production from the Sangos, Ochigufu, Mpungi, and Vandumbu fields—which have been operating since 2014 via the Ngoma FPSO, nearing the end of its design life—to the newly installed Agogo FPSO, designed to reduce emissions. SLB OneSubsea will design and deliver the additional control umbilicals needed for this transition. The company noted that enabling the shift to the Agogo FPSO helps Azule Energy extend the life of the West Hub fields while supporting a significant reduction in emissions intensity, highlighting how proven subsea infrastructure can provide operational continuity and decarbonized production. This follows SLB OneSubsea’s previous umbilical deliveries to Azule Energy across the West Hub production centers and the broader Integrated West Hub development, including the Agogo and Ndungu tie-backs. Separately, TechnipFMC announced in August a contract worth between $75 million and $250 million to design and manufacture flexible flowlines, risers, and associated equipment for the project.
