Rabat – Amid Growing Uproar Over Pride Month LGBTQ+ Events, Seattle Organizers Maintain Activities for Egypt-Iran Match, despite official objections from both federations.
The World Cup organizers in Seattle have confirmed that the Pride Month activities will continue as planned, explaining that they are part of the city’s annual celebrations that have been held for over decades during June and they are part of a program the city council holds near the stadium.
The Egyptian and the Iranian football federations have previously objected to this decision to FIFA, demanding that the match should not be linked to any of these events, where the local organisers confirmed their commitment to implement the program as scheduled without any modifications through it.
The match between Egypt and Iran is set to be held on the 28th of this month, which is facing the exact Seattle Pride Parade
The Egypt-Iran encounter is expected to be one of the most anticipated fixtures of the group stage, with both teams seeking a positive result in their pursuit of a place in the knockout rounds.
