Mohamed Salah is no longer a free agent, with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor announcing the Egyptian as one of their new players.

Departure From Anfield

During a controversial ninth and final season at Anfield, the Egyptian had revealed that he would be departing the club at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

His contract expired at the end of June, signalling an end to one of the most prolific individual eras in Premier League history.

Trabzonspor Confirm Signing

Now, the Egyptian has officially joined Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor.

This comes after the side pre-empted the 34-year-old’s arrival, confirming that transfer negotiations had begun and that the player would land at Istanbul Ataturk Airport General Aviation Terminal on Wednesday.



A Liverpool Legacy

 Between 2017 and 2026, the forward made 442 appearances, scored 257 goals and helped the Reds win two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, two League Cups and the FA Cup.

The Egyptian departed Anfield as Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time, as well as the club’s leading scorer in both European competition and the Premier League.
