🥅 ICYMI-
It was a successful night for Egyptian football. Pyramids gave an impressive performance in Nairobi last night, beating Kenya’s Gor Mahia 2-0 in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round. Walid El Karti opened the scoring inside five minutes and Mahmoud Saber doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Zed also had a stellar showing, securing victory in their first-ever match in continental football after beating Djibouti’s Asas Telecom 4-0 in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
In the Turkish Super Lig: Trabzonspor thrashed Gençlerbirliği 5-0 — a much-needed response after losing two consecutive matches, including their Europa League play-off exit to Ferencváros. Salah converted a 14th-minute penalty for his fourth league goal of the season.
In the Premier League: Arsenal maintained their perfect start, coming from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates. Manchester United, meanwhile, were denied victory at Everton in the 96th minute, settling the game at a 2-2 draw.
