LDEA Dismisses Two Action Agents Over Gross Misconduct | Crime

The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has dismissed two of its Action Agents, Emmanuel Soluteh and Joseph Dahn, following investigations that established what the agency described as gross misconduct and serious violations of its Code of Conduct.

The two officers have been removed from all LDEA employment, volunteer, and vetting processes based on recommendations from the Agency’s Board of Internal Inquiry.

According to the LDEA, Emmanuel Soluteh was assigned at the Agency’s national headquarters in Fiamah, Sinkor, while Joseph Dahn served at the LDEA Nimba County Detachment in Ganta.

In a statement issued by the Agency, the LDEA said the disciplinary action reflects its commitment to maintaining professionalism, accountability, and respect for the rule of law within its ranks.

“The LDEA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct and will not tolerate any action that undermines the rule of law, human rights, or the integrity of the Agency,” the statement said.

The Agency emphasized that no officer, volunteer, or staff member will be protected when found to have acted outside established laws and regulations.

“Any volunteer or officer acting outside of the law will not be excused or shielded,” the LDEA warned.

The dismissal means Soluteh and Dahn no longer have any authority to represent the drug enforcement agency or conduct official activities on its behalf.

“The public is hereby informed that Emmanuel Soluteh and Joseph Dahn no longer represent the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency and are not authorized to conduct any business on its behalf,” the Agency stated.

The LDEA used the occasion to reassure the public of its continued efforts to combat drug trafficking and other illicit activities across Liberia.
