Liberia Govt Denies Use of Diplomatic Pouch in Cocaine Smuggling

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has refuted claims that Liberia’s diplomatic pouch and official channels were used to facilitate a major smuggling operation. The allegations, which have gained traction on social media, follow an ongoing probe into large-scale cocaine seizures.

“These accusations are entirely false, unsupported by any credible evidence, and appear calculated to undermine public confidence in the Government of Liberia’s coordinated efforts to combat transnational organized crime,” the ministry said in a statement.

It also warned that the spread of disinformation could jeopardize ongoing investigations and harm Liberia’s national interests.
