Koury reaffirms UN commitment to completing Libya roadmap

UN Deputy Special Representative for Libya Stephanie Koury has discussed the country’s political, security and economic challenges with members of the High Council of State’s Consensus Bloc.

The talks focused on unifying state institutions and creating conditions for credible national elections, the UN Support Mission in Libya said.

The meeting was part of the mission’s consultations with Libyan political actors following an agreement reached through the recent mini-meeting process.

Koury stressed the importance of inclusive political participation and institutional unity.

She reaffirmed the UN mission’s commitment to working with Libyan actors to advance the political process and complete the remaining stages of its roadmap towards national elections.
