Office of the Presidency of the High Council of State (HCS) held its first meeting on Thursday, following its election.
The meeting was chaired by HCS President, Mohamed Takala and attended by First Deputy President Naji Mukhtar, Second Deputy President Omar Boushah, and Council Rapporteur Belkacem Debrez, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for organizing work of the Presidency Office, defining priorities for the next phase, following up several political and administrative files, and discussing ways to enhance coordination between the Presidency Office and the Council’s standing committees. Preparations for the upcoming plenary session were also discussed.
The attendees emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening consultations with various national parties to support political consensus, create suitable conditions for holding elections, and ultimately promote stability and advance the political process in the country.
