Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed developments in Libya with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, during a meeting of the Egypt-Turkey Joint Planning Group held in the city of El Alamein on Thursday.
According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Libya’s political process and called for an “inter-Libyan” settlement without external dictates or interference.
He stressed that any political settlement should preserve Libya’s unity, security, sovereignty and stability, while supporting the development of state institutions and paving the way for presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possib
