Egypt inaugurates 2nd El Alamein int’l airshow

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Tuesday inaugurated the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow at El Alamein International Airport on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.

During the opening, Sisi and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides toured exhibition pavilions and the open-air exhibition area before watching aerial performances by the Egyptian Air Force and foreign teams, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

The three-day event, running from Tuesday to Thursday, features aircraft exhibitions, flying displays, and an exhibition of aerospace, defense, and space products and services, according to the show’s official website.

This year’s edition is expected to host more than 250 exhibitors from 50 countries, feature over 50 flying displays, showcase more than 100 aircraft, and attract roughly 12,000 visitors, the show’s website said.
