Civilian Suffering Deepens as Houthi Attacks Target Villages in Yemen

Marib – Civilian suffering has intensified across several regions of Yemen as Houthi forces continue to launch rockets and deploy armed drones against villages and populated areas, striking homes, farms, and vital infrastructure.

Local reports indicate that the attacks have destroyed property, disrupted livelihoods, and placed families under direct threat, forcing many to flee their homes in search of safer areas amid already dire humanitarian conditions.

The strikes on residential communities have drawn widespread condemnation for causing both human and material losses.

Beyond the immediate destruction, damaged houses leave families displaced, while the targeting of farms and businesses strips citizens of income sources critical to survival.

The destruction of roads and civilian facilities further compounds daily hardships.

Children, women, and the elderly are among the most vulnerable, facing heightened fear, displacement, and loss of shelter and basic necessities.

Human rights advocates and community leaders have called for systematic documentation of these incidents including photos, videos, survivor testimonies, and field data to ensure accountability and provide an accurate picture of the scale of damage.

Critics stress that the targeting of homes, farms, and civilian assets not only devastates communities but also undermines family stability, increases poverty, and accelerates displacement.

They insist that protecting civilians and their property must remain a priority, condemning any attacks on populated areas and urging an immediate halt to Houthi strikes on villages.
