Moroccan Botola Pro Champion to Receive MAD 10 Million Prize

Rabat – The winner of Morocco’s Botola Pro “Inwi” will receive a financial prize of MAD 10 million ($1 million) starting from the 2026-27 season, National Professional Football League (LNFP) president Abdessalam Belkchour announced on August 28.

The new prize represents MAD 10 million, or one billion centimes, for the club that finishes top of the Moroccan top-flight league.

According to Belkchour, the decision aims to increase the financial value of the national competition and strengthen the rewards available to Moroccan clubs.

The higher prize comes ahead of the start of the 2026-27 Botola Pro season, which is scheduled to begin on September 24.

The move is expected to add further incentive to the title race, particularly among Morocco’s leading clubs, including Raja Casablanca, Wydad Casablanca, AS FAR, and RS Berkane.

The upcoming season already promises a competitive start. AS FAR will host Raja Casablanca in the opening round, while Wydad will face AS FAR in a highly anticipated clash in the eighth round.

The Casablanca derby between Raja and Wydad is scheduled for the 11th round, with the return fixture taking place in the 26th round.

With the champion’s prize now reaching MAD 10 million, the financial stakes of the Botola Pro title race have increased ahead of the new campaign.

The decision forms part of broader efforts by the LNFP to enhance the value and competitiveness of Morocco’s domestic professional league.
