The telecommunications company said it is rolling out fibre connectivity to educational institutions across the country, covering communities from the northern to southern and eastern to western regions.

Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel)  is expanding school connectivity across Cameroon through the deployment of its optical fibre network, as part of efforts to promote digital inclusion in education.

The telecommunications company said it is rolling out fibre connectivity to educational institutions across the country, covering communities from the northern to southern and eastern to western regions.

The initiative is aimed at improving internet access in schools and giving students greater access to digital educational resources. Camtel said connecting schools can help provide young people with more equal access to learning opportunities and educational content available globally.

The programme forms part of Camtel’s broader efforts to support digital inclusion and technology-enabled education in Cameroon, with connectivity positioned as a key tool for expanding access to educational resources.
