Cameroon’s ST Digital opens data center in Gabon

Cameroonian data center operator ST Digital opened its facility in Gabon on Friday, July 3, as per an announcement on LinkedIn.

The company broke ground on the facility back in August 2025. It is located in the Nkok Special Economic Zone, an industrial park near the country’s capital, Libreville.

DCD has reached out to ST Digital for more information about the data center’s capacity and size.

The total number of data centers in Gabon is unclear. Data Center Map and Baxtel show that ST Digital’s facility would be the country’s first, but Data Center Journal lists three data centers in Libreville, including the Gabon Internet eXchange and Airtel Gabon.

ST Digital is based in Cameroon and provides cloud services in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Togo, Gabon, and Cote d’Ivoire.
