Gabon launches ST Digital tier III data centre to power digital sovereignty

Gabonese president Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema has inaugurated the country’s first international-standard Tier III data centre, Ecofin reported. It is classified as a vital national asset, alongside energy and transportation. The project was developed by ST Digital Gabon under the leadership of Laika Mba and will enable Gabon to host sensitive state and corporate data locally, mitigating its dependence on overseas digital infrastructure.
