As part of its ongoing efforts to secure citizens’ needs for petroleum products and improve the level of services provided, Brega Oil Marketing Company announced today that it had completed the final operational and technical arrangements for launching its first mobile diesel fuel station.
It reported that this step was taken in coordination with the Soug Al-Juma Municipality, where the site designated for the mobile station was prepared and the necessary arrangements were made to begin operation and provide service to citizens. Brega said this will contribute to supporting the smooth supply of diesel fuel and relieving pressure on some distribution stations.
The company said it was also working in parallel to complete the procedures related to allocating another site in the Tajoura area to operate an additional mobile station, as part of a plan aimed at expanding the scope of service and reaching the largest possible segment of beneficiaries.
Brega said this initiative is part of a package of operational measures implemented by it to enhance the flexibility of the distribution system and improve the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
Diesel shortage
It will be recalled that Tripoli is experiencing an acute diesel shortage. Many businesses, including transport trucks and heavy industrial machinery have been negatively affected.
Last Monday (15 June), a group of trucks demonstrated on Tripoli’s main corniche by conducted a slow drive through, bringing traffic to a trickle.
