Manchester United Target Morocco’s Eliesse Ben Seghir

Rabat – Manchester United are reportedly setting their sights on Bayer Leverkusen’s winger Eliesse Ben Seghir to bolster their attacking options.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Manchester United is tracking the Moroccan international following his difficult start in Germany, where he has struggled to secure a regular spot since joining the club.

The 21-year-old Moroccan winger joined Bayer Leverkusen from AS Monaco in late 2025 for a reported €30 million fee.

However, his initial lack of playing time in Germany has triggered a noticeable decline in his transfer market valuation, which now sits around €20 million.

For Manchester United, this sudden drop in price presents a transfer opportunity.

The English club’s board views the situation as a chance to sign a top-tier young talent at a discount, though Leverkusen remain in a strong negotiating position given his contract runs through June 2030.

According to the same source, Bayer Leverkusen are determined to protect their financial investment and have drawn a line in the sand by rejecting any offer below €20 million.

Despite this stance, lines of communication remain open with Manchester United, as both clubs could begin formal negotiations if an offer reaches approximately €25 million.

Stade Rennais had previously tried to bring the Moroccan international back to Ligue 1, though reports indicated the French outfit ultimately abandoned the pursuit.

Following a drop in his playing time in Germany, the winger’s market valuation now stands at €20 million, with his current contract at Bayer Leverkusen with  an annual salary of €3.21 million.

A deal would add another young attacking option to Manchester United’s squad.
