2027: ADC’s Kpautagi unveils Musa as running mate in Niger

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Niger State, Mohammed Kpautagi, has unveiled a former commissioner, Mamman Musa, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

Musa served as a commissioner under the immediate past administration of former governor Abubakar Sani Bello.

Kpautagi, who announced the choice of his running mate in Minna, described Musa as an experienced grassroots politician with the capacity to strengthen the party and deliver victory in the 2027 election.

He said the ADC was entering into a covenant with the people of Niger State to prioritise security, job creation, economic development, quality healthcare, education and infrastructure if elected.

The governorship candidate said his decision to participate in politics was driven by the desire to secure a better future for the people of the state.

According to him, “ADC will run an issue-based campaign centred on practical solutions rather than propaganda, describing the ADC as a vehicle for a new beginning in Niger State.”

Accepting his nomination, Musa described it as both an honour and a responsibility to the people of Niger State.

He said the mandate was a call to service and pledged to work with Kpautagi, the party and other stakeholders to build what he described as a New Niger.

“I assure the people of Niger State that I will not disappoint them. I promise to work with the party’s governorship candidate and other stakeholders in building a New Niger,” he said.
