Zach Nunn says Iran deal could curb terrorism, lower gas prices and protect troops

Iowa 3rd District Congressman Zach Nunn, a Republican, said he looks forward to the President’s final recommendation on Friday regarding holding Iran accountable.”That keeps Iran from having a nuclear weapon; it keeps them from funding terrorism, and it opens up the Strait of Hormuz. That’s a direct reflection on gas prices that will start to come back down. I think that’s a huge aspect going forward. And most importantly, you know, it means for our men and women in uniform who’ve been serving that they are now in a much safer spot than they were just this past Saturday,” Nunn told KCCI on Monday. Senior U.S. officials said the text of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding will be released in the next 24 to 48 hours.
