Yemeni Army Says 181 Operations Targeted Houthi Positions in 24 Hours

Aden – Yemen’s armed forces announced Sunday that they carried out 181 military operations within the past 24 hours against Houthi positions and sources of firepower, using drones, artillery, and rocket launchers.

Brigadier General Majid Abdullah al‑Nuzaili, spokesperson for the Yemeni military, said in a statement that the strikes targeted Houthi military sites and threats across several battlefronts. 

Initial assessments indicated dozens of Houthi fighters were killed or wounded, while multiple vehicles, equipment, and weapons depots were destroyed.

The operations focused on military objectives and hostile capabilities along frontlines in Taiz and surrounding areas, among other regions.

Al‑Nuzaili emphasized that the armed forces have the readiness and capability to identify and strike threats at times and places determined by military leadership. 

He added that units adhered to rules of engagement and international humanitarian law, taking precautions to protect civilians.

According to the statement, the strikes were conducted in response to repeated Houthi attacks targeting civilians, infrastructure, and economic facilities, as well as military sites.

The spokesperson urged Yemenis to avoid Houthi military sites and installations to ensure their safety. 

He stressed that the armed forces remain at the highest level of preparedness and will continue their mission under political and military directives to safeguard the people, sovereignty, and stability of the state.
