Yemen : Houthis Target Military Airport Near Bab al-Mandab With Ballistic Missiles

Taiz – A Yemeni military source reported that the Houthi movement, also known as Ansar Allah, launched two ballistic missiles at the Dhubab military airport near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

The same source said Thursday that the Houthis had previously carried out a missile strike on the commercial port of Mokha in the same province, causing severe damage to the pier.

Earlier, the Houthi-run Saba news agency claimed responsibility for an attack on a Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan, stating that two drones were used and that the strike was “precise.”

A military spokesperson for the group said the operation was in response to what they described as violations of Yemeni airspace by Saudi forces in Saada and Hajjah provinces.

The spokesperson added that the Yemeni armed forces would continue to carry out “firm responses” to any aggression or breach of sovereignty, vowing further attacks if hostilities persist.

The latest strikes highlight escalating tensions in the Red Sea region, where Houthi missile and drone attacks have increasingly targeted both military and commercial infrastructure, raising concerns over maritime security and regional stability.
