Yemen: Deadly Houthi Strike on Bus Between Aden , Taiz

ADEN – Yemeni government sources said Saturday that a Houthi missile strike targeted a passenger bus on the Aden–Taiz road, killing 6 people and injuring 7 others.

The attack occurred in Heija al‑Abd, a key route linking the two cities. Military sources also reported heavy fighting in western Taiz, where 26 government soldiers and more than 30 Houthi fighters were killed during Houthi advances in Jabal Habashi, Maqbanah, and al‑Barh.

Yemeni sources confirmed three airstrikes hit Houthi positions in al‑Kadha, Maqbanah, and Jabal Habashi, as clashes continued across western Taiz. Reinforcements have been deployed to bolster government defenses in Taiz and along the Red Sea coast.

On the western front, coastal forces launched operations to retake areas in Hays and al‑Jarrahi in Hodeidah. Military media said the National Resistance, backed by Giants Brigades units, began a counteroffensive south of al‑Jarrahi.

While government troops regained two sites after losing them to the Houthis, three other positions fell under Houthi control in al‑Barh and al‑Kadha.

Separately, Yemeni media reported that Houthis fired a ballistic missile at a restaurant near the Mokha junction, causing civilian casualties. Residents also reported hearing explosions in Hodeidah city.
