Mokwena Closing In On Pyramids Move
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has been without a club since parting ways with Libyan outfit Al Ittihad Tripoli earlier this year, but another North African challenge now appears imminent.
It is understood that almost all the terms of a proposed one-year deal have already been agreed, with only a few final details still needing to be ironed out before the move is officially completed.
Why Pyramids Want The South African
According to one3, Pyramids view Mokwena as the ideal candidate because of his extensive experience on the African stage, with the club looking to strengthen its technical department as it looks to remain competitive for both domestic and continental honours next season.
The Egyptian giants are believed to see the 39-year-old as a coach capable of maintaining the club’s upward trajectory while building on their ambitions in the CAF Champions League and local competitions.
