3:32 p.m.: Young is the first player in World Cup history to tally at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in a World Cup final. She and Stewart look hell-bent on powering Team USA to gold.

3:25 p.m. Clark cans from deep again! That’s her second of the game! The U.S.’s bench unit is starting to make its presence felt as the game nears its conclusion.

End of third quarter: USA 73, France 57

3:15 p.m.: Howard’s defensive gifts are shining through. She’s up to four steals in the game, proving an effective deterrent for France’s gifted backcourt.

3:00 p.m.: The Americans have turned things around in an impressive way in the third quarter. After surrendering a barrage of triples in the first half, Team USA gashed the French in a major way in the third frame. Copper and Boston found their footing offensively, while Stewart and Young kept their sizzling displays going.

2:43 p.m.: Team USA caps its flurry with an Angel Reese theft at Clark triple at the horn! The Americans’ cut France’s advantage to two at the break!

2:39 p.m.: The Americans have enjoyed a decent recovery after falling behind by 14 early in the second quarter. Young is up to 13, while Gray has dazzled with 10 points and three assists. Stewart has another 12 under her belt. That makes up 35 of the U.S.’s 39 points thus far.
