Turkey’s embassy in Libya says its consulate general in Benghazi will resume consular and visa services from Sunday, restoring operations in the eastern city after years of suspension.
Ankara closed its Benghazi consulate in June 2014 amid deteriorating security conditions in eastern Libya, as part of wider measures to scale back its diplomatic presence.
Since then, consular services for Libyan citizens have been handled through the Turkish embassy in Tripoli.
