Newly promoted Egyptian Premier League side Canal SC have strengthened their squad with the signing of three Ghanaian players ahead of the upcoming season.
The trio of Mawuli Wayo, Rudolph Mensah and Hafiz Ibrahim have joined the Egyptian club as they prepare for their campaign in the top flight.
Wayo, a winger, makes the move from Accra Hearts of Oak, bringing experience from the Ghanaian Premier League to Canal SC’s attacking department.
Striker Rudolph Mensah, who previously featured for Swedru All Blacks, has also secured a move to the Egyptian side and will be expected to provide an attacking threat in front of goal.
Completing the Ghanaian contingent is midfielder Hafiz Ibrahim, who joins from the Attram de Visser Soccer Academy. The young midfielder will be looking to make an impression as Canal SC embark on their first campaign following promotion to the Egyptian Premier League.
The arrival of the three Ghanaians highlights Canal SC’s recruitment drive ahead of their return to Egypt’s top division, while also providing another opportunity for Ghanaian players to showcase their talent on the international stage.
Canal SC will hope the Ghanaian trio can play key roles in helping the club establish itself among Egypt’s elite.
