Three Al-Shabaab Members, Including Two Leaders, Killed in Two Security Operations in Somalia

Mogadishu, August 22 (QNA) – Somali Defense Ministry announced today that three members of the Al Qaeda- linked Al-Shabaab militant group, including two senior commanders, were killed during a security operation in the Middle Shabelle region of southeastern Somalia.

According to a ministry statement, security forces targeted a militant hideout in the outskirts of Daaru-Nima district in the first operation, killing a commander and one of his bodyguards and wounding another member. A separate operation in the Tawakal district resulted in the death of another commander. (QNA)
