Tenebe vows to relaunch Bendel Insurance

As part of preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, chairman of Bendel Insurance FC, Jarrett Tenebe, has promised to explore all necessary avenues and muster resources to reposition the Edo State-owned club to an international standard.

Tenebe gave the assurance when he held a meeting in London with Dr Drew Uyi, a FIFA-licensed football agent and international brand strategist.

The meeting focused on innovative strategies to reposition the Benin Arsenals for greater success, as well as on how to explore ways of strengthening the team’s global profile through modern player branding, international marketing, talent exposure and commercialisation.

The discussions also centred on initiatives aimed at improving the international marketability of the club’s players, while reinforcing Bendel Insurance’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s Premier Football clubs.

One of the key proposals was the introduction of a structured player-branding programme designed to equip players with professional images, stronger digital profiles and increased media visibility to attract international opportunities, sponsorships, and scouting.
