Takala, Egyptian ambassador discuss political developments and bilateral ties
High Council of State head Mohammed Takala met with Egyptian Ambassador to Libya Tamer El-Hefny in Tripoli on Sunday to discuss bilateral relations and the latest political developments in the country.
The ambassador congratulated Takala on his election as head of the High Council of State, as well as the appointment of the council’s new leadership, wishing them success during Libya’s current transitional phase.
The talks also focused on efforts to bridge differences among Libyan parties, advance the democratic process, promote nationwide stability, and create the conditions needed to hold long-awaited elections at the earliest opportunity.
