Six Immigrants Who Resisted Getting Off the Plane in Liberia Were Deported to Equatorial Guinea

Six immigrants who were deported from the U.S. to Liberia last week reportedly resisted getting off the plane and were instead flown to Equatorial Guinea. The Trump administration has secretly expanded these so-called third-country agreements, deporting thousands of immigrants to dozens of countries they have no ties to. The immigrants who refused to get off the plane in Liberia were four men from Cuba, one from Brazil, as well as a woman from Cameroon, according to NBC News. The group was told they’d be returned to the U.S. but instead were taken to Malabo city in Equatorial Guinea.
