Security Operations in Sebha Capture Wanted Individuals and Recover 120,000 Dinars

Sabha – The Sabha Security Directorate has carried out several coordinated security operations that resulted in the arrest of suspects wanted in criminal cases. Authorities dismantled a criminal group involved in robbing a pharmaceutical company and recovered 120,000 Libyan dinars.

The directorate said on its official page that these operations were conducted by various police units. These included the Criminal Investigation Department, City Police Station, Rescue Division, and Qarda Police Station, in coordination with relevant security agencies.

One operation led to the arrest of a suspect wanted for murder, kidnapping, and extortion charges in Al-Shati municipality. This arrest involved cooperation between the security directorates of Sabha and Al-Shati.

In other operations, police arrested a Ghanaian national caught in possession of and consuming narcotic pills. They also detained a Chadian national wanted by the Criminal Investigation Department.

The directorate announced the dismantling of a criminal group consisting of individuals of African nationalities who were involved in the theft of the pharmaceutical company. The entire stolen amount of 120,000 Libyan dinars was recovered.

Police also apprehended a Libyan citizen wanted by the Public Prosecution for a case involving kidnapping and unlawful detention.

The Sabha Security Directorate confirmed that all necessary legal procedures were taken. All detainees will be referred to the relevant judicial authorities.
