Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow supports comprehensive settlement of Libyan crisis
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that Moscow is committed to resolving the Libyan crisis based on a national consensus among the country’s political forces.
This took place during a meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Georgy Borisenko and the Libyan Ambassador to Moscow, Mehemed Al-Maghrawi, according to the ministry.
A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “The conversation included an exchange of views on the current situation in Libya. The Russian side reaffirmed its principled and steadfast position supporting a comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis based on national consensus among the country’s political forces.”
The meeting also addressed practical matters regarding the strengthening of Russian-Libyan relations and the expansion of cooperation across various fields.
