Royal Canadian International Community Partners with Rosedale to Bring OSSD to Sulaymaniyah, Iraq

RCIC which delivers the Cambridge curriculum, will extend its academic pathway through senior secondary for the first time by offering the OSSD

SULAYMANIYAH, KURDISTAN REGION, IRAQ, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Royal Canadian International Community (RCIC), an international school serving the Kurdistan Region since 2025, today announced a new partnership with Rosedale International Education to deliver the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Rosedale OSSD), extending the school’s academic pathway through senior secondary for the first time.

RCIC currently delivers the Cambridge International curriculum from Early Years through Cambridge Lower Secondary (Grade 8), after which students have historically transitioned to other institutions to complete their secondary studies. Through this partnership, RCIC will introduce the OSSD as its own in-house senior secondary pathway, allowing students to continue their education at RCIC through graduation while earning a globally recognized Canadian diploma with direct routes to universities in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and beyond.

Under the agreement, RCIC’s own teaching staff will deliver day-to-day instruction, while Rosedale’s Ontario-certified educators oversee academic evaluation and credentialing, ensuring full compliance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards.

The inaugural OSSD cohort is targeted for 2027 – 2028, with enrollment open from July 1st, 2027. Information sessions for interested families will begin May 1st, 2027.
