Robert S. Byrne of Angola killed in Adirondacks motorcycle crash

The driver of a motorcycle died Saturday after the bike struck an earthen embankment in Hague.

State Police said the bike went off Graphite Mountain Road, killing rider Robert S. Byrne, 62, of Angola.

Troopers were called to the scene at 2:30 p.m. Byrne’s bike was headed northeast when it left the pavement and hit the embankment.

Byrne died at the scene. The crash is being investigated.

Angola is located in Erie County.
