Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC revealed the date for Rulani Mokwena’s official unveiling as the club’s head coach.

Mokwena was announced as Pyramids boss in July this year following his departure from Libyan giants Al-Ittihad.

The Sky Blues become Mokwena’s fifth club in three years, having left Mamelodi Sundowns in 2024 for a move to Wydad AC.

He left the Moroccan side shortly before the end of the 2024/25 campaign and joined MC Alger before the 2025/26 season, staying eight months in Algeria before his short-lived stint in Libya.

Pyramids Reveal Unveiling Date

According to El Balad, Pyramids are set to hold an official press conference on Tuesday at 3 PM (2 PM South African Standard Time) at the conference hall of the Air Defence Stadium, where club president Mamdouh Eid and captain Hani Saeed.

The club is also expected to announce the team’s technical staff, where several of the club’s players will also be in attendance.

Following the unveiling, the club is expected to host a training session for the media, as they gear up for the new season.

Pyramids Expected To Make Title Charge

Mokwena’s first official game as Pyramids boss will be the opening game of the 2026/27 Egyptian Premier League season against Ghazl El Mahalla as they look claim a maiden league title.

The Sky Blues finished as runners-up for the fifth consecutive season, dating back to 2021/22, having finished third in the previous three seasons.
