President Federation Cup: Rangers face Rivers United in blockbuster clash
Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rangers International will face fellow top-flight side Rivers United in the standout fixture of the 2026 President’s Federation Cup Round of 32 on June 1st .
The heavyweight encounter, scheduled for the Uyo Township Stadium, is expected to headline an exciting round filled with high-profile battles and potential upsets as clubs continue their quest for national silverware.
Fresh from their dramatic NPFL title triumph, the Flying Antelopes will be aiming to maintain momentum against a Rivers United side equally desperate to salvage their season with a cup run. Rangers pipped Rivers United to the league title, and the Enugu club will be hoping to complete a season double over the Pride of Rivers — while Finidi George’s men will be equally motivated to exact revenge.
Another fixture attracting attention is Akwa United’s clash against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Abuja FIFA Goal Project. The Promise Keepers, looking to restore their reputation after a difficult league campaign, face an El-Kanemi side known for its resilience in knockout competition.
